Insight Strategy Group and Stacey Mathias, appear to be a SCAM. Be very careful when dealing with them.
ReplyDeleteI received a Mystery Shopper assignment. It included a check that I was to cash at my bank, I was to take my fee, and then split the difference and send half of the difference to each of two recipients via Western Union. Seems legit, except I sensed something was not right.
Cashing a check means the funds are given to you against your account's funds. If the check being cashed bounces, you are out of luck. BTW, the check is fraudulent. I called the credit union the check claims to be payable through and they confirmed they have received a number of calls like mine and assure me the check is fraudulent. The credit union doesn't even have a location in the city noted on the check.
